ObmenAT24: stability, in-house development, and a service without compromises
March 13, 2026
ObmenAT24 is a service that did not appear on the market yesterday and is definitely not one of those trying to impress with loud promises. In January the team received the Kursoff award — Stability Expert, and this is a good reason to talk not only about the award itself but also about what stands behind it in real operations.
We spoke with Illia, the head of the ObmenAT24 project, about how the service started, how the team approaches customer trust, why having their own development is fundamental for them, and which processes had to change after difficult cases.
— Hi! How should we introduce you to our readers and what are you responsible for at ObmenAT24?
My name is Illia, I’m the head of the ObmenAT24 project. I’m responsible for the development of the service, key operational processes, and overall making sure that clients receive fast, clear, and stable exchange operations.
— How did it all start: what exactly on the exchange market annoyed you enough to make you want to build your own service?
The idea of creating ObmenAT24 came from the desire to build a service that combines security, high speed, and convenience for users. It was very important for us to create a product that we ourselves would actually want to use.
— What was the very first working format: online only, offline only, or a mix, and why?
The ObmenAT24 team has more than 10 years of experience launching financial projects that combined both online and offline formats. We consider this approach the most convenient for clients, so we focused on that model from the start.
— In January you won the Kursoff nomination “Stability Expert”. What do you think brought you this victory?
The answer is quite obvious for us. The goal of the ObmenAT24 team is to improve our clients’ experience every day by providing convenient, fast, and secure exchanges on favorable terms. Consistently. Reliably. Every single day.
— What 2–3 things do you consider fundamental for customer trust in an exchanger?
First of all, security and fair exchange conditions. The client should clearly understand how the service works, what the terms of the transaction are, and what result they will receive.
— You have many exchange directions and scenarios. How do you decide what to add first and what not to add even if there is demand?
We rely on our clients’ needs and their requests. We are always ready to look for the best solutions for users, so we prioritize adding the exchange scenarios that have the strongest real demand.
— How does your rate fixing work: at what moment is it locked and what happens if the market moves sharply during the request?
The rate is fixed for one hour after the request is created. If the market moves, we adjust the rate for the next requests. If the price has been fixed, it remains fixed. But of course, if a client created a request in the morning and paid in the evening, it’s impossible to hold the same rate for the whole day.
— What is the real average time to complete a request on a calm day and during peak hours, and what does it depend on?
On average it’s about 10 minutes. During peak hours it can be up to 30 minutes. It depends on the workload of the team. When we see increased demand, we connect additional operators from other company departments to maintain both speed and service quality. We are also planning to launch automated exchanges, but it’s too early to discuss details.
— Tell us about the first big or stressful case: what was the amount, what went wrong, and did you change any rules after that?
I think many market players have faced similar situations. It happened late in the evening after a very difficult day. As a result we sent crypto to the client twice. Unfortunately, the client decided not to return the funds. After that we revised the crypto payout process, made changes, and such situations have not happened again.
— When a client makes a transfer between cities or countries, where do delays happen most often and what do you do to avoid them?
In our case delays usually happen when a client wants to change the terms of the deal after the payment has already been made. In such situations we react quickly and try to keep the originally stated timeframes.
— How do you structure support so that the client still feels in control even when there is a delay?
Our support team is led by a very competent and experienced specialist. His task is to ensure clear and fast service and also train future exchange managers. In fact it’s the first step for those who want to build a career at ObmenAT24. I believe many strong specialists in crypto exchange grow out of our support team.
— Tell us about a conflict situation with a client and how you solved it.
Previously we often had conflicts during cash withdrawals because of so-called white and blue dollars. Everyone wanted new bills. By default the cashier issued the currency that was available, which caused complaints. We solved it quite simply: first we started asking clients which type of dollar they preferred, and later added this option directly to the request form. After that the problem disappeared.
— How do you approach AML checks: when do you stop an operation and how do you explain it to the client without losing trust?
We have AML rules described on our website and anyone can review them in detail. In short, we do not work with crypto connected to services or exchanges related to russia. We also follow standard market rules.
As for trust, usually a client who gets blocked by AML already understands where the crypto came from and why the transaction was stopped. Transparency and clear rules are what matter most here.
— Do you personally see value in the private Kursoff P2P Telegram chat? What insights would be most valuable there?
Personally I find insights related to AI technologies the most interesting. It’s one of the areas that is really worth watching right now and exploring how it can be applied in practice.
— What script do you use for your exchange service?
We use our own development. I believe that if you want to build a strong product for clients, relying on a ready-made solution rented for $250 a month is not the best approach. Besides, we started our journey a long time ago when ready scripts were barely available.
— Is there something you would like to tell our readers?
Yes. ObmenAT24 also runs a unique Obmenat Fund giveaway with a prize pool of over $1000 every month. The rules are simple: make an exchange on the ObmenAT24 website, leave a review about the service on one or three platforms including Kursoff, and subscribe to our social networks. Every month half of the fund is raffled among participants and the other half is donated to charity. Every review matters to us, so we will be happy if you join.
— What will be the main focus for ObmenAT24 in 2026 and how will you measure success?
The main indicator of success for any business is growth in revenue and the client base. If people choose your product, it means you are doing things right.
Our main focus for 2026 will be automation of exchange processes for clients, expansion of landing platforms, stronger cooperation with partners including Kursoff, and several internal directions that we prefer not to disclose publicly yet.
