Reasons for the Increase in new traders on the market

Binance has published the results of a global survey conducted among users in 2024. A total of 27,230 traders from six continents participated, sharing their insights on the development of the cryptocurrency market and key trends for 2025. The results indicate the growing momentum of the crypto industry and help identify the areas that attract the most interest among traders.
Future projections
In 2025, the crypto industry is expected to become more regulated and accessible for users, according to respondents. Over 19% expect stricter regulations, reflecting the increasing focus on security and compliance. Additionally, 16.1% foresee the active involvement of traditional financial institutions and large investors, while 16.51% believe in broader implementation of blockchain technologies in practical applications.
Among the most promising sectors are AI tokens, considered the most prospective by 23.89% of respondents. Other areas of interest include meme coins (19.09%), DeFi tokens (12.37%), and Layer 1 assets (12.28%).
Rapid growth in the number of traders
The crypto market is becoming increasingly attractive to newcomers. Nearly half of the respondents (45%) joined the market in 2024, with 24.52% doing so within the last six months and 20.6% during the first quarter. Despite limited experience, many show high activity: over 31% trade daily, while 22.91% trade weekly.
The key factors attracting new traders remain the potential for rapid asset growth (22.4%), decentralization (18.78%), and transaction convenience (17.16%).

Among Binance's most popular products in 2024 are spot trading, which remains traders' favorite tool (25.89%), Binance Earn, offering convenient ways for investors to grow their assets (25.34%), and Binance Convert, simplifying crypto exchanges (17.33%).
