Crypto regulation debates escalate in the US

Debates continue in the US Congress over the CLARITY Act — a bill that includes restrictions on high-level officials participating in the crypto business, which Trump’s team strongly opposes. Meanwhile, the Senate has supported the GENIUS bill for strict stablecoin regulation, and crypto exchange Coinbase has faced criticism for sponsoring a military parade.

Development of a Ukrainian large language AI model

Ukraine has begun developing its first large language model (LLM) tailored to national context — language, history, and current realities. This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation and Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology. According to him, the strategic investor and partner in the project is mobile operator Kyivstar.

Kursoff's Opinion

This week saw a notable increase in institutional presence within the crypto sphere, while the US continues its struggle over crypto regulation — marked by serious political debates over official involvement and strict rules for stablecoins.

Amid global challenges, Ukraine is demonstrating technological ambition: the launch of a national LLM is a significant step toward digital sovereignty. However, alongside progress come threats — crypto crimes, data leaks, and fraud schemes remain a reality, requiring strong awareness and cybersecurity hygiene.
