USDC market cap surpasses $60B milestone
March 26, 2025
The market capitalization of the stablecoin USDC has surpassed $60 billion for the first time in history. As of March 26, the total supply reached $60.2 billion — doubling from March last year when it stood around $30 billion.
The overall stablecoin market also hit a new all-time high, with the total capitalization exceeding $238 billion.
USDC strengthens its position
USDC remains the second-largest stablecoin by market cap. While USDT by Tether still leads the sector with $144 billion, demand for USDC continues to grow steadily.
The majority of USDC — over $39 billion — is issued on the Ethereum network. Solana ranks second with $9.5 billion. Other chains hosting USDC include Base ($3.7 billion), Hyperliquid ($2.2 billion), Arbitrum ($1.8 billion), and Berachain ($1 billion).
Solana deepens its integration with USDC
As of March 24, around 80% of all stablecoin supply on the Solana network is represented by USDC — showing the token’s growing role in the ecosystem.
Earlier, Circle — the issuer of USDC — announced that cross-chain transfers of the stablecoin are now completed within seconds, thanks to recent upgrades.
