Raydium launches token creation platform
April 17, 2025
Decentralized exchange Raydium has officially rolled out LaunchLab — a new platform for easy token creation on the Solana blockchain. Announced in March, the tool is now live and offers two creation modes: the simplified JustSendIt and the customizable LaunchLab with advanced configuration options.
Token Launching Without Code
JustSendIt allows users to create tokens without any coding knowledge by selecting basic parameters. The LaunchLab mode, on the other hand, provides flexibility to adjust settings like liquidity thresholds and creator fee structures. Once the preset liquidity level is reached (e.g., 85 SOL in JustSendIt), the token is automatically added to Raydium’s liquidity pool.
Token creators also benefit from a 10% share of trading fees generated by their tokens, providing a financial incentive to launch projects through Raydium. Analysts believe this could attract more developers looking for passive income through decentralized launches.
Market Response and Competition With Pump.fun
LaunchLab arrives amid rising competition from Pump.fun — a memecoin factory that recently introduced its own AMM feature. That announcement caused the RAY token to drop nearly 30% in February as developers shifted focus.
However, Raydium’s response has been well-received. Following the platform launch, the RAY token surged 14% from $2.11 to $2.41. At the time of writing, RAY is trading around $2.35 with a market cap of approximately $681.9 million.
According to CoinGecko, memecoins remain the most dominant narrative in crypto for Q1 2025. LaunchLab may help Raydium strengthen its foothold in this rapidly growing market segment.
