On September 2, OKX SG Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the global cryptocurrency exchange OKX, received a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

This license allows OKX SG to offer digital payment tokens and cross-border money transfer services, including spot trading in cryptocurrencies to Singaporean customers.

In addition, Gracie Lin, who previously served as MAS deputy director and head of money markets, was appointed CEO.

Lin noted that Singapore is a global center for digital assets and an important market for OKX. According to her, obtaining the MPI license is a necessary step for the company. The team is committed to providing customers with access to cryptocurrencies, as well as contributing to the development of the community and ecosystem.
