Nvidia to build $500B AI infrastructure in the U.S.
April 15, 2025
Nvidia is gearing up to build AI infrastructure in the United States worth up to $500 billion. According to the company’s official blog, it is working with partners to design and construct advanced factories for producing AI supercomputers.
Factories, Chips, and Strategic Partnerships
Nvidia has already commissioned over 1 million square feet (around 9.3 hectares) of production space dedicated to developing, testing, and assembling Blackwell chips and next-gen AI supercomputers in Texas.
Chip production has started at TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. Simultaneously, Nvidia is building supercomputer manufacturing plants in collaboration with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Mass production is expected to begin within the next 12–15 months.
To support the development of advanced AI chips and systems, Nvidia is working closely with Amkor and SPIL in Arizona on packaging, assembly, and testing technologies.
$500B Investment in the Future of AI
Over the next four years, Nvidia plans to deploy up to $500 billion in U.S.-based AI infrastructure through its strategic partnerships. These investments are aimed not only at technological advancement but also at stimulating the job market. The company projects that the initiative will create hundreds of thousands of jobs and contribute to the country’s long-term economic security.
Nvidia’s stock rose by 1% following the announcement, compared to closing prices on April 11.
As a reminder, Donald Trump previously announced $500 billion in private sector investments for AI development. In April, the White House dropped plans to restrict imports of Nvidia’s H20 AI chips shortly after the company’s CEO Jensen Huang attended a paid dinner with Trump.
