Elon Musk reveals next development from xAI
November 28, 2024
Elon Musk’s company xAI is launching a game studio utilizing artificial intelligence, aiming to revolutionize the approach to video game development.
Elon responded to criticism from Billy Markus, the creator of Dogecoin, who pointed out the commercialization of the gaming industry and the ideological motivations of developers. He stated that xAI will create games focused on the needs of players, rather than profit.
Chatbot for the broader user market
xAI is preparing to launch a mobile app for interacting with AI, based on the Grok chatbot. The app will compete with ChatGPT and will be available for personal devices. The launch is expected to take place as part of the next funding round, in which xAI could raise up to $5 billion.
Investments and support from major players
Since its inception, xAI has raised around $11 billion, receiving support from prominent investors like Fidelity, Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, and Jack Dorsey, founder of Twitter. Musk offered these investors 25% of xAI’s shares as a reward for loyalty, as well as part of the deal related to Twitter’s $44 billion acquisition.
The project continues to attract attention due to its ambitious plans to launch a game studio and AI communication app. With strong investor backing and significant growth potential, the company stands a good chance of leading in these sectors.
