In 2025, it is expected that five corporations from the Nasdaq 100 list and five sovereign states will add Bitcoin to their balances. This information comes from Galaxy Research's report, "Cryptocurrency Predictions for 2025."

Such decisions will be driven by strategic needs for portfolio diversification and the necessity for new trade settlement mechanisms.

Global competition drives state investments

A Galaxy Research analyst notes that competition among states, particularly less developed ones or those with significant sovereign wealth funds, will encourage active adoption of BTC mining or acquisition strategies. This will enable these countries to strengthen their positions in financial markets.

Asset volume growth

It is projected that by 2025, the volume of assets managed by U.S. exchange-traded products (ETPs) operating in the Bitcoin spot market will reach $250 billion. This significant growth will be fueled by an influx of over $36 billion in 2024. Major hedge funds, including Millennium, Tudor, and D.E. Shaw, have already made substantial investments in Bitcoin products.

Price predictions

The price of BTC in 2025 is expected to exceed $150,000 in the first half of the year and reach $185,000 by the fourth quarter.

Additionally, analysts forecast that the leading cryptocurrency will approach 20% of gold's market capitalization, underscoring its role as a key financial asset.
