Ondo Finance launches a blockchain solution for RWA asset tokenization
February 07, 2025
Ondo Finance is launching Ondo Chain — a first-layer blockchain for the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). Despite its institutional focus, the ecosystem remains open to everyone. The new network will help Wall Street firms integrate RWA into digital assets, increasing liquidity, accessibility, and investor protection.
Key partners and collaboration
At the summit in New York on February 6, Ondo Finance introduced Ondo Chain. The discussion included leading financial companies such as BlackRock, PayPal, Morgan Stanley, and Google Cloud, which will serve as key network advisors.
Additionally, the co-founder of World Liberty Financial (WLF) announced the creation of a strategic token reserve, including ONDO. WLF actively invests in ONDO, demonstrating trust in the new blockchain and its potential.
Functionality
Ondo Chain offers institutional tools, including cross-margin collateral for RWA, staking of tokenized assets, and digital asset management. The network utilizes a permissioned validator model, enhancing security, preventing maximum extractable value (MEV) manipulation, and ensuring transaction transparency.
WLF reserve and investments in ONDO
According to reports, World Liberty Financial invested $470,000 in ONDO on February 6 and $270,000 on December 15. Overall, the Trump family platform manages $35.4 million in crypto assets, underscoring its commitment to strengthening its position in the tokenized asset market.
