In IT, it is no longer so easy to get in. But in Web3, you still can: what Kursoff learned at DeJob?! 3.0 in Lviv

April 20, 2026

On April 19, DeJob?! 3.0 took place in Lviv – a Web3 careers fair where, instead of broad talk about the industry, the focus was on specific things: who is needed right now, which roles are actually open, how much they pay and how to get in without extensive experience. The Kursoff team attended the event as a media partner, and for us this was already our second time at DeJob. That is why it was interesting not just to listen to the speakers, but to see how the conversation about work in the crypto industry itself is changing.

The main feeling after the event: in traditional IT, things really have become more crowded now. Competition at the junior level is high, and the requirements are often too demanding for those who are only trying to enter the profession. In Web3, the situation is still different. It is also not an easy market, but there is still a window of opportunity here for those who are ready to learn quickly, move through practice, and show not just a CV, but real value as well.

That is exactly what made DeJob?! 3.0 stand out. People spoke honestly here: the market is still taking shape, roles are changing, and that means you still have a chance to enter the industry.

90% will do nothing after the event

This was probably the most honest point of the whole event. After events like this, most people will listen, get inspired, make a few mental notes, and that will be the end of it. It is a familiar scenario for almost any conference or career event.

But the whole point of DeJob was to give you a chance not to remain among those 90%. And you could feel it on site. Everything here was built not around the format of coming, listening, and leaving, but around taking concrete action. Partners gave people the opportunity to apply right away, go through the first screening, talk to teams, understand the directions better, and see where you could try yourself already now. In total, there were about 30 entry opportunities.

Because of this, DeJob?! 3.0 felt not like a series of lectures, but like a practical starting point. If you really want to enter the industry, here they immediately show you what to do next.

How to get into AML without experience

One of the most practical blocks at the event was dedicated to AML. It showed especially well how the logic of entering a new profession works in Web3. The main idea sounded very clear: certificates are not the main thing.

What matters much more is this:

  • being able to work with blockchain explorers, including Etherscan and Blockchain
  • conducting OSINT research
  • understanding basic tools such as Chainalysis and Crystal
  • building your own cases that show how you think and how you analyze

And this is really an important point. In traditional IT, without formal experience, your CV is often not even opened. Here, the logic is more practical: if you can already show a case breakdown, explain your conclusions, and prove that you know how to work with data, that carries weight. A portfolio of cases here can give you more than the mere fact of certification.

What the real work of an AML specialist looks like

Another strong point was that AML at the event was explained not abstractly, but through a real scenario. Using the example of a case with a suspicious mixer, they showed the full workflow.

First, a signal appears: a transaction goes through a mixer. Then comes the analysis: wallet history, connections, the route of the funds. After that, the risk is assessed: clustering, a possible connection to darknet, the overall context of the activity. And based on that, a decision is made: flag, review, block, and report.

This block showed well that AML in crypto is not theoretical analytics and not a dry checklist-based review. It is very concrete work with transactions, risks, and decisions that directly affect how a company operates going forward.

Not only AML: where there are other opportunities

The event clearly highlighted that Web3 has long stopped being limited to one direction. There are opportunities not only in AML, and that was also clearly visible in the talks and in the focus points of the partners.

Exchanges, including Bitget
Here they talked about ambassador programs as a real entry point. This is one of the options for getting in without extensive experience, starting with community work, communication, and first tasks, and then moving into a team faster than in more familiar fields.

Development, including Cedra
In this block, the idea was voiced that the market is changing quickly and it is worth looking not only at what was considered the obvious choice yesterday. In particular, they talked about MOVE as a direction that is worth keeping in sight right now. There was also an emphasis on income: if you enter the right stack correctly, the growth potential here can be very noticeable.

Legal and compliance direction
Another important topic is that crypto is gradually moving out of the gray zone. And that means the market increasingly needs lawyers, compliance specialists, and people who understand how to build product operations under new rules. In other words, Web3 has long stopped being only about trading or development. It is also about structure, regulation, security, and mature processes.

This is where the important context lies. Web3 is not easy money. But this market is still taking shape, so there is less competition here than in traditional IT, and more chances to get in through practice, not only through formal experience.

And the main thing

Events like this are not about simply sitting in a hall, listening to speakers, and leaving with the feeling that maybe one day you should try too. They are about the choice you make for yourself next.

We encourage you to enter the industry while the window of opportunity is still open.

For the Kursoff team, taking part in such events matters not only because we act as a media partner. It is important for us to see how the market talks to new people, which directions are growing now, and where in the crypto industry you can still get in not through a nice legend, but through concrete action. That is exactly what DeJob?! 3.0 was about: real entry points, a living market, and an honest conversation without embellishment.
